| How
to start your PCFort Account |
|
| To register your
PCFort account download
the software, install it and go through the onscreen registration
to start your account. You will need a valid credit card. |

Your registration
details will be encrypted and transmitted to the data
centre. Shortly you will receive a confirmation email.
Click on the desktop icon to open the software and input
your username and password into the appropriate fields.
(This needs to be done only once.) You will then select
an encryption key
which is used to scramble your data before transmission
to the data centre. We suggest you choose the option to
enable us to keep a secure copy of your encryption key.
If the key is lost and we do not have it, you will be
unable to restore your data to a new computer.

Use the
service for up to a month without paying a penny.
If you decide not to use the service simply cancel
the account and you will not be charged. If you decide
to continue using the service your credit card will be
charged for your first year’s service based upon
the space used at that time.
If during the year your archive size increases you will
be emailed to let you know. You then have the option of
reducing the size of your archive or paying for the additional
space. This space charge will be pro-rated for the remainder
of your service year. |
